Author Event: Before Tomorrow by Deb Hazlett

Join us for a special event with Deb Hazlett, author of Before Tomorrow. This event is free, but we appreciate your RSVP below so we can plan for your attendance.

ABOUT THE BOOK
She didn’t set out to reinvent herself. Not at sixty-five.
She simply reached a point where staying still no longer felt like living.

After years of quietly wondering if life was meant to feel larger than this, Deb Hazlett sold most of what she owned, taught herself to tow an Airstream travel trailer, and set out alone toward a future she could neither fully explain nor predict.

Before Tomorrow is not a travel memoir in the traditional sense. It is the story of a woman learning—late in life and often the hard way—to trust herself beyond the expectations that had shaped her for decades. Alongside the miles traveled are the quieter, less glamorous realities of preparing for such a life alone: downsizing, finances, fear, uncertainty, and the countless practical decisions that slowly transformed an impossible idea into reality.

Through mechanical failures, mountain passes, storms, solitude, unexpected friendships, and moments of startling beauty, the road slowly becomes something more than movement. It becomes a reckoning with fear, independence, aging, and the quiet realization that freedom is lived, one mile at a time.

Reflective, honest, and quietly humorous, Before Tomorrow speaks to anyone who has ever wondered whether it is too late to begin living more fully.

“Before Tomorrow is part travel memoir, part practical guide, and entirely inspiring. Her story is proof that adventure doesn’t have an age limit—it only requires the courage to begin.” — Scott Stillman, author of I Don’t Want to Grow Up

“Exceptionally well written…” — Midwest Book Review

“Loved it!” — Reedsy Discovery

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Deb Hazlett is the author of Before Tomorrow, a memoir about choosing your own path at age sixty-five. After a near-death experience, she sold most of what she owned, learned to tow an Airstream travel trailer, and set out alone across the country. What began as a cross-country adventure became a journey toward trusting her own voice and discovering it is never too late to begin again. A native Northern Californian with deep roots in Napa, Deb continues to write about courage, self-discovery, and the quiet confidence that comes from finally trusting your own voice.
