Foundations in Clay: Hand Building and Wheel Throwing Techniques - Nimbus Arts

Try your hand at making and designing functional forms in clay! This introductory studio class covers traditional hand-building and surface treatment techniques while pushing the boundaries to include your own style and creativity. In this open studio teaching format students will leave with a solid foundation in working with clay. Then, get your artistic juices flowing by mastering the basics of wheel throwing, creating bowls, cylinders, vases, bottles, and other goodies! This is an inspiring and versatile medium and a great class for both experienced ceramicists and for those new to the medium! $45 per class $25 additional materials fee/bag–o–clay with some reclaimed clay available for free!
